How do I apply for the scholarship?

Who is eligible to apply for the scholarship?
The scholarship is open to all graduating Springfield High School seniors that are pursuing their post-high school educational goals at a secondary institution. (i.e. college, trade school, community college, technical school, junior college).
Do I have to attend a 4-year college to receive the award?
NO. The scholarship is open to all Springfield High School graduating seniors that are actively pursuing education in any post-secondary institution (i.e. trade school, community college, technical school).
Is GPA the only factor used when selecting a recipient?
NO! While we do consider an applicant's GPA, it is by no means the only criteria used to determine award recipients. Many factors including GPA, community involvement, extracurricular activities, extenuating circumstances, honors & awards and more are all reviewed when reviewing applications.
Do I need to submit a transcript or letters of reference?
NO! Although, submitting these extra materials may work in your benefit during the application review process, official school transcripts and/or letters of recommendation are not required. If you would like to mail or fax copies of your transcripts or letters of recommendation please contact us for submission information.
What is the deadline to apply for the scholarship?
The deadline to apply for the 2024 Scholarship is April 15, 2024. All mailed applications and materials must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2024 for consideration. Online applications must be submitted prior to 11:59 p.m. (EST) on April 15, 2024.
How many awards are given out each year and what amount(s)?
In 2024, we anticipate awarding up to four (4) $2,500 awards to qualified applicants.
How do I submit additional materials with my essay/application (i.e. videos, transcripts, letters of recommendation)?
