IN MEMORIUM
Jerry M. Greene

We thank you for your interest in The Jerry M. Greene Memorial Scholarship. Jerry M. Greene was a special education teacher and administrator at Springfield North High School (Springfield, OH) for over 20 years. During his more than 20 years of service he continually strived to instill a thirst for knowledge both inside and outside of the classroom in his students. He believed that no student should be denied an education due to limited resources or means. His tireless efforts to not only see his students strive in their formal classroom education, but also in their daily lives was a driving force to motivating the hundreds of students that passed through his classroom and through the walls of Springfield High (formerly Springfield North High School).

He believed that education transcended the classroom and that community involvement, social organizations, athletics and participation in other extracurricular activities could give students the keys to future successes.

He believed that the balance students demonstrated between classroom achievement, purpose, community involvement, social activism and over-coming obstacles was indicative of that student's potential.

The Jerry M. Greene Memorial Scholarship seeks to aide those students that excel and exemplify personal achievement and a passion for learning in the classroom and beyond.
