For more than 20 years, JMG was a special education teacher and administrator. His tireless efforts to see his students strive in their formal classroom education as well as in their daily lives was a driving force to motivating the hundreds of students that passed through his classroom and through the walls of Springfield High.
Applications for the 2017 Scholarship are currently being accepted. The deadline for applications for the current year is March 24, 2017. Applications must be postmarked no later than that date for consideration. Applications submitted online must be received no later than midnight (EST) March 24, 2017.
The intended purpose of the scholarship is to assist special needs students at Springfield High School in furthering their academic goals in post-secondary educational institutions (4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, technical school, etc.) after graduation. In the absence, of qualified special needs applicants the scholarship is open to all graduating seniors of Springfield High School.
The Jerry M. Greene Memorial Scholarship is wholly funded by donations. Every donation regardless of size helps keep the legacy, passion and efforts of Jerry M. Greene alive. Your donation will help aide and support the advancement of those students who exemplify the mission of the scholarship through education, community involvement and a commitment to excellence.
